Description

Apophysis betas12-16b - Ultrafractal3.02 - Photoshop7 - "Flood" filter by Flaming Pear He is gone, but only physically - the "seeds" of His teaching remain with us....water them! :>) Composed entirely in Ultrafractal, however the image had to be re-composited/layered in Photoshop7 to allow rendering in Ultrafractal of the egg separately from the flames and some "noise" from the flames was removed from the crosses. Special and heart-felt thanks to my wife, Joanne ("gargoyle84") for lending me some layers for the crosses to tweak from her fine "Redemption" image here at Renderosity - check out her gallery! Happy Easter - a little early! Thanks for stopping by! :>)

Here's a piece of art. The egg is beautiful (as I hide my head). The composition is striking. I like how you used that over used flood filter. It's nicely integrated into the image. Also, the light source is consitant. You have highlights and shadows in the right place. It's all beautiful. If it were my image, I would play with the colors of the egg, just so that they fit in better with the overall image. Or maybe a shadow cast on to the egg from the flame on the left would integrate it better. I'm not sure. Sorry. Maybe I am missing the point of why is it so different. This is one of your better images. It makes me want to build a composition. Well done, my son. :)) Sorry about all the rambling...

Wow, I seem to be late to the party, and I don't want to be repetitive, but I can only say that it's beautiful! I love the contrast of the tender blue of the egg against the almost monochromatic background. To me it symbolizes hope in a sometimes not so bright world. Great job on what Deagol calls the "over used Flood filter." He's so right (even though I'm sometimes guilty as well) but you've used it in a meaningful way, and it definitely should be there. All in all, a lovely symbol of death and rebirth, and I thank you for sharing it with us. Hugs and Happy Easter to you guys!

Dramatic, dengerous nest and peacful, spring egg.Nice idea :) I wish one thing.Because I see very interesting background(some crosses on the left, buildings on the right, water, clouds on upper right),egg and nest should be smaller to uncover that mysterious ,intrigue background.

Nice use of Apop to create a cradle. The Apop backdrop is also well done. Like the spiritualness the most. Appreciate that very much.
