Description

A still frame from a Matte Painting I did for the computer game - Dune Emperor. It contains elements made from Bryce (the background), lightwave - The foreground elements - ships and port equipment and finally video elements of 5 actors shot on blue screen and duplicated to create a living crowd in the scene - which was finally composited in Adobe After Effects. Some additional work was done in Photoshop to enhance the base image. Also - once animated the ships were taking off, the crowd is moving and idling about and steam and smoke are blowing through the scene as well as the clouds are moving. Enjoy - Chuck Carter

Outstanding! The Dune series is my all time favorite story. Did you hear the SciFi channel is starting "Children of Dune"? I can't wait to see it. Just an incredible amount of work looks like it went into this image.
