Description

"And I'll cross beaks with anyone that doubts it!" A rufous hummingbird looking for anything to chase away from HIS feeder. They are incredibly territorial and aggresive, and will even chase larger birds. If they were the size of crows it wouldn't be safe outside. Thanks for taking the time to look.

Excellent in-flight shot. Thanks. We don't see them here very often. I think too much crop spaying has ruined their habitat here.

I'm impressed, one of the problems with digital cameras is the lag on firing the shutter...hence my own upgrade...you caught this so well Jim.

Wonderful shot, looking at the wings it is little wonder how they got their name, beating almost too fast for the camera to capture. I have never seen one for real. Maybe one day!

This is such a wonderful combination, the plastic feeder and the unlikely bird. It is hard to imagine this is a bird? yes?
