Description

An entire one man restaurant on a motor bike somehow doesn't seem out of place as he "putt putts" up the street. I'm having Pad Thai for breakfast and a large dog is dying in agony on a doorstep across the road. An elderly Thai woman is sitting by the dog scrapping a Puffer fish. My tea is served by a ladyboy who is still half asleep (I think) and we're waiting for a bus to take us to see a total eclipse. We arrived in Hua Hin in the dark the night before, when I opened the window in the morning, rows and rows of squid were hanging out to dry. We were on the second day of a three week holiday going up and down Thailand and Culture Shock was still very strong.

Yeh right, come to India my dear friend, I will show your many more culture shock?? no, Culturual Surprises.:O)) In this part of the globe you get to see a lot of what our past would have been. Would seem like a time travel. Having lived in India all my life, that is 40 years almost, when I go to the interior parts of it, I am in for a surprise so I can well imagine the whole of the country at every stage would be nothing but surprises.:O))
