Description

A temporary transition from my usual uploads... something for the B/W freaks ;o) Back to the "Schwetzinger Schlosspark", some of you may remember two of my uploads from this garden a few days ago. The castle and garden were created in about 1700. This building here is called the Temple of God Merkur. It was built as a ruin in the manner of that time for showing the transitoriness. My friend Andreas ~aka~ abmlober encouraged me to post some more shots from this garden. Would you like to take a walk with me again? Thanks for viewing! And thanks also for your nice comments on my previous shot Only one rose Hugz Monika

I like this image and the postwork you've done to it very much. This is a difficult light situation because you have a dark foreground and a very bright background. In this case I often combine to copies of the image (a brighter and a darker version) to prevent the dark parts of the image from going completely into black. This is a beautiful work!

Very nice old ruins, Moni:) The soft postwork gives it a very nice mysterious mood:) At last another walk..I'm itching to get started:)

This is really neat Moni. I was going to try some black and white, but not if it turns you into a freak. I'm already pretty unstable, don't know if I should risk it.

So this is in a garden!? This looks like a really cool structure, love it in black and white, this tower reminds me of a place where a huge bell might have hung at an earlier time, or maybe a widow's watch? Excellent capture Monika, would be more then happy to accompany you on this tour! :)
