Description
After returning to graphics and knocking out a few Terragen renders I went back to experiment with Mojo. I am now totally into it, so I've decided to post some early simple Mojo work since entire planet creation doesn't exactly come quickly
At present I'm trying to take this planet idea up to a larger scale with more terrain variations, continents and oceans. Snow on high ground only etc.
Any comments or hints are very welcome. I have lots to learn
Thanks

Very interesting start.. My first impression is that your terrain would be very cool if the towers were lighter in color and also had displacements on the material. Look forward to future pictures from your world and hopefully exploring it one day.

Agree with hstewarth !

Great to see you're back mojo-ing ;) I really like the elements you've got here with these big blobby brown & blue spikes and the white snowy terrain. However I don't think they work well together. Personally I would choose one of them and work the other around it ....possibly ending up with two planets. One from the spikes the other evolving from the snowy terrain. That spire in the foreground is highlighted really nicely. Plus looking at this pic there's a potential theme to the world which seems quite appropriate at this time of year - 'an alien easter-egg farm' ....lol!

There's already some excellent advice here. I just wanted to add that I really like the 'egg' mat, and that this planet looks like it has plenty of potential for some weird and wonderful effects...

Let's see...I agree with Stewart about needing some displacements on the towers..The snow looks good tho.. To make "continents" you'll want to add another terrain texture, with a larger LFS, and set the blend to multipy. It's a little more involved than that, butat's the basics.. Look at Copperwine continents, that will show ya how Continents are done..
