Hello all...The wizard character I built in Truespace6.6 and Imported into MayaPLE so I could attach an Unreal Tournament 2K4 Skeleton...I only got the model into MayaPLE this morning so I am Learning as I go...So go easy alright,I know it is just the little Brother of the BigBoy but I am still learning the program and that is all that counts in my Book,Believe me if I could afford the real Maya5.1 I would have bought it,BUT funds are real tight...Thanks for any feedback or critique's.
How much is the Academic version anyone know?
The next pic that I will upload will show the Progress of my Weight Painting,Right now I have a few vertices and faces attached to the wrong Bone so I need to learn how to unnattach then reattach to the right Bones...Any suggestions?

Good going foley, aside from my usual apps like Lightwave, I recently took on Maya as well in bits and small chunks at a time. Maya certainly has a great renderer and some really nice tools. But you're right learning anything is the most important thing.
