Description

this is a bit of a 3d doodle, i didnt really start with a fixed design, it just kind of evloved over the day or so its taken to make. theres actually a heck of a lot of detail hiding in there, theres even a few fish swimming around (bet u cant spot `em). its been through a slight sharpen filter as maya tends to blur things with production quality AA. made with maya 4 / default renderer. 2 area lights (1 used to fake caustics) 1 directional 1 fog light -i might go back n change the rock surface under the water as its too busy looking for my taste- comments welcome...

It looks great, I love it. The birds seem a little too big though. Other than that, it's a wonderful scene.

This is a really nice work, great atmosphere and everything, very busy as a dock should be. Birds seem close to the viewer, and so the size is probably close to ok, I've seen some big ones. this is an image that should definitely SHOULD be done in stereograph. PLEASE do a render from, say, 3 inches to the right, and upload it too. I want to put my 3d goggles to work (page-flipping) a little debris in the water/bottom would be a touch, like tires, boards, etc.maybe add a slight murkiness to it when you change the texture, just a slight bit of murky. One of the more "photo-realistic" images I've seen.

Holy crap, does anyone else see any resemblance between Half Life 2 and this picture? This is really cool, keep up the good work.
