Description

From Edjua that was fairly simple to create to this one... San Lucre is probably one of the scene that caused me the most troubles. Especially the lighting was a tough one. Lit from scratch, using more than 30 lights. I also experimented with coloured lights to enhance the mood. Most noticable is probably the blue shadows. www.thomaskrahn.com I hope you like it! :) Thomas Thanks to Tim Jones for the bridge-model! It was hard to texture, but still a great model ;) - Update - I felt something was missing so I've added a little man to the dock. I also enhanced some textures. Thanks for commenting everybody! :)

The textures and light are excelent Thomas. the wide angle camera which makes the walls "tilt" toward each other creates a sort of a gloomy, almost claustrophobic feeling. Is that what you were after? :)

Erka - Yeah, the feeling of getting the walls to "tilt" was what I was aiming for. Something like that really helps the viewer to feel like he's there. It's not all done with a wide camera-angle though. Zooming out to much caused the bridge and the fence to look weird and akward. Instead I turned the right wall around a little, which gives the same impression but without the distortion in the rest of the picture.

Very nicely done! The fish-eye effect of the camera is a bit disorienting, but it really does effectively help show off the piece. Great textures, not sure about the extreme stretching of the textures on the underside of the bridge though. Great stuff.

Love the walls an dthe lighting was well worth the effort. Superb. Not sure about the man though, he kind of detracts from the bridge which is a strong centre of attention for the eye.

Brilliant, really amazed how much creativity a 16 year old (sorry, i'm not sure how old you are now) can possess. I would love to go fishing off that bridge...or pier even :) Great job as always.
