Cass, if I had the power to change one thing for you, this would probably be it. I wish I could, but I can't. This is one disturbing image when you know where it comes from, there's such turmoil, such suffering conveyed here. Funny how it just makes me adore you more my friend hugest hugs

You've made it so beautiful, like peering through stained glass to an etherical world. The birds are flying.

I agree with Jim's sentiments and echo his wishes. I'd love to set you free of that pain, like the raven flying. Beautiful richness of colour and texture sweetie. huge hugs

To look at this hurt me Cassie!! It's so twisted and distorted and knowing where it comes from makes me mentally feel the pain!! I love the colors u used for this and that black bird is so full of meaning, being, to me, the pain trying to escape but being trapped in there! The crow is also a symbol of hope though...but is it a crow?

Thank you so much everyone, I really appreciate your compassion group hugs, but I'm wishing I hadn't put the source material there now as it seems to have 'tainted' what I see as quite a positive image. I see an apocalyptic underground city, water in the forground, fire behind the raven, a path leading under the pipes to it and the spinal cord is a big tree root. Thank you again for your support, I adore you all for it HUGS

Before I read anything you wrote I couldn't help but see towering strength in this image! The positive & glorious light that will be found in any darkness & the raven soaring on waves of energy. Amazing image Cass, full of darkness & pain certainly but also vibrant with hope, life & wisdom. Hugs backatcha ; )

You make beauty out of pain. like a ladder down in the depth of your being. Darkness, pain but also beauty and strength. Make me think of glass windows.

There is such a vastness here, the shadows and textures, and most especially the soaring pose of the raven, easily lending the impression of so much more expanding past the picture's edges. There is so much in the world that people don't see, whether because they can't or won't, that yet holds so much of importance in the halls of their existence. This beautiful picture makes me think of that. HUGS I love the use of purples, it's such a good colour for darkening things without making the scene sinister.

Makes me think various contradictory thoughts. Light and darkness, pain and relief, capturing, freedom... This is deep, and multidimensional scene to some inner parts of us, of the world. Wonderful picture!

boah - i stare on it for a long long while now - very intense piece - great use of color and textures, the very well rendered raven gives this more or less abstract painting the very special note - think everyone can take his own message from this piece of art - excellent job cassie, you are a real artist!!!
