Your angel looks like he is in the middle of a temper-tantrum, is he locked in with the books? I am not sure i can grasp the whole symbolism here, but whatever happens so is your image so wonderfully well done, you make wonders in Photoshop!!

Are those dead birds hanging from the ceiling?? :( Did he do that?? I wonder why he's a fallen angel! Murderer!! He seems to be pretty pissed off for sure! And those wings!! Man those wings are so...perfect! I love the darkness in this one...looks actually very cosy to me! Awesome work my dear Cassie! :)

I won't try to decipher your enigmas. Just wanna say that the feathers are perfect, they're real feathers. I would suggest you to smooth the background's egdes to improve your already strong picture.

You really got me on this one sweetie... I think Varian may be closest in his interpretation but still I have no real idea L... is it anything remotely like a statement on the kind of mentality where spam originates, scraping the barrel of capitalism? Just as idiotic, he's not even looking where he's flinging his mail... this kinda reminds me of those spam mails I get advertising real estate in the US when I'm over here in the bloody UK LOL... pathetic and thoroughly annoying, and no more than a trap for the gullible really. Meanwhile, three dead birds hang on a line... do these represent the damage that spam can potentially do (particularly in the case of viruses and worms) or do they represent karmic damage back on him, a fellow winged creature? As for the decapitated statue, I haven't the remotest idea, sorry LOL this one's gonna keep me coming back ;-)
But whatever, it's still a feast for the eyes... more than anything else his wings, jeez Cass this is where you excel with your knowledge of animal anatomy. The angel himself is exquistely rendered, though I wonder about his right forearm and he looks a bit flat-footed too ;-) Those tiniest of reservations aside, you know I'm gonna be impressed hugest hugs, you really keep getting better and better as you intend Cass... thank you so much for creating and sharing this perenially enigmatic piece... the wings alone are a treat :-)

I, obviously, wasn't going to put a description on this one, but since it seems to be a little vague to some, here's my explanation - "The angel in my series is, to put it mildly, pissed off. He's angry with the World's inability to hear what he has to say. The books aren't propping him up, he feels they can't anymore and is leaning against the solidity of the wall. The books, of course, are Bibles. The page he has ripped and made into a paper plane, is Corinthians 13, about Love. He will rip the same page from the other Bibles as he feels that Love is the only thing that can save, but is too dejected to spread the word himself, thus is SPAMming."

Not different books, just bibles...and always the same "love-page".... That brings really a new dimension here:-) --- But nevertheless, I'd like to see this like I saw before your words Cassie! I saw it so wikkid, even the pose of the angel is so ...mischievous. As if he didn't actually know how bad he is:-) --- This is a dark picture, but with a humorous sense in it. I love this, I love these infinite interpretations it makes possible, all the tales from the worls of ours:-D

Without your explanation, I couldn't have guessed much of the meaning besides what had already been said, but now that I know it, it brings on a whole plethora of different possible meanings and sheds the veil of mystery somewhat. I love the textures you've used in it, you always manage to capture the subtle art of feathers so well. I'd love to see one day how they are attached to his back. hugs

Wonderful Cassie, For me there needs no deeper meaning than the angel posting his spam mail, to often I think we get lost in the meaning of images instead of just enjoying their splendour. I love the elements in this your painting is a joy to view. Thank you for sharing Hugs Jeff :0 )

Yesterday, I commented: An intriguing mystery of meaning. The bored and disheveled angel rips out pages of books to make paper airplanes - as if to say all information contained in them is so much spam/junk? Tucked in the shadows, nude artwork and dead birds on display - their connection...I have no idea. Certainly an intriguin composition with pleasant color tones.
Today, I add: Thanks for adding a bit of explanation which clarifies his postion, attitude and activity. Something I heard today and made me think of this image:
God saw the profusion of e-mail and decided to send a rewarding message to all who were good and loving, and to send it by e-mail. And wasn't it a wonderful message? Oh, you don't know what the message was? You really don't?
Thanks for sharing your work. :)

Ah, we can see his face in this one! It strikes me even more than the first one did, that for some reason, he looks very familiar. I love the dark texture of the cathedral stone; it reminds me of some old, soot-stained structures I saw in Scotland, yielding a look of sullied majesty which fits very well with the concept here. His wings are a gorgeous contrast to the darkness. They and his face are my favourite part, there's such detail and emotion in both areas. I'm rather taken by the idea of what he's doing, I like the ideag This is a beautiful piece, and very powerfulHUGS I look forward to seeing the rest of the series:D

i really like the idea - thanks for the little explanation - as i am a little dump i fear i have to think houres about the whole meaning of this work - i really love when pictures make me think over - and this one sure does - i only fear this poor angle has to make many many spam planes... (uh, is the world really soo bad, are -we- really soo bad, noooooooo, we are not, the others are ;-), who ever the others are - i hope to get one of his spams, hmmmmm, damn i mostly delete spams without reading it - poor angel - :-( --- ) what an excellent provoking and extremely well done piece of art - this has for each person his very personal message, at the end i think there was no explanation needed - really excellent stuff my friend!!!!!

Interesting how we co create, and how that creation by those of us brings to light our own experiences of life, I think. I guess I see this spam as the thoughts that come unasked for, that deter us from living in peace. The problem always is that we take thee thoughts to be ours, but they are just thoughts floating by, like your paper airplanes. If we just watch them , they cannot harm us, if we take them seriously, they can. Definately an angel stirring up trouble, amusing himself that way, nice work !

Top notch as ALWAYS Cassie. What I see when I look at this amazing image is an angel that has finally been pushed over the edge. Disgusted with what we have become he has thrown in the towel and allowed all of those temptations that he has defended against to finally flow through him... he has embraced them. Forsaking us is bitterness at an almost unbearable level, but it is too late... what's done is done.
