Description

The good thing about owls is that they can sit there for hours just staring. Which of course makes it quite easy to take a decent shot... Anyway, I like the way those yellow eyes glow and how their colour stands out from the feathers' black and white. Another of nature's masterpieces I think.

Owls are so unique - I once found a young great horned owl with a broken wing ~ he had been surviveing like that for quit some time as the wing appear healed but useless - I took him into my home and we became friends ~ But that was not the place for him ~ I found him a propper home ~ Your photo of this majestic creature brings me back - This is beautiful work and of course a great subject :)
