Description
Passing Days, Passing Lights
Beaches are unusual places, a landscape continually evolving on a daily basis. Unseen underwater tide and wave action transport and deposit tonnes of sand, eroding and building silently and slowly with sums of large and small addition. At night the silver coin of the moon appears to watch over the work it magnetically
influences, garbed in the sable and diamond gown of night. Far below on the horizon the giant ocean tankers, liners and carrier ships on their trade routes twinkle back in response, their passing lights visible from the dunes, but unseen from inland. But then beaches are unusual places.
