Description

Hi everyone, Bit cheeky posting this in Bryce, but didn't know where else to share it :) This was an experiment is photoshopping - I regularly go into forests and take pictures of bark, moss etc to make textures for my 3D stuff. I decided to bypass 3D this time, and try to create a fantasy forest by selecting aspects of 50 or so forest shots that I took - a tree here, moss there etc, and build up tons of layers (68!) to create something new. The 'buildings' are the same stump photographed from different angles and the whole thing has spent next to a week in PS being lit, painted etc (and windows added). It was a cool experiment to try, hope you like it....and apologies again that its not Bryce! A lot of the detail is lost because of compression, but what can you do :) Hope everyone's well, Phil

Just excellent. Beautiful job putting it all together. I also apply textures as patterns through Painter. This piece is inspirational. Love it

There is a 2-D gallery here at renderosity, but, if you had posted it there I would not have witnessed this beautiful work. Such beatiful textures and lighting. I am tempted to vote but can not do so in all fairness, since none of it is Bryce or 3D. But, I will give it top ranking.
