Description
Hey everyone,
Its been a loooong time since I posted, good to be back at it! Hope you're all well.
This is a commissioned piece for a site called www.wild-magic.com, run by a guy called Dave Eberly. Its a scene from the Stephen Donaldson book, The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant - a 'Caamora' or cleansing fire, in front of the giant's citadel, Seareach.
Combination of lots of things - citadel and foreground are Bryce with added details in post, water is Maya (and a couple of photo references for distant water) and tons and tons of handpainting in Photoshop (fire etc) Cloak is a build-up of loads of reference photos of crumpled red cloth (curtains, blankets, cloads, drapes etc) around a naked poser figure.
Cheers for looking!
Best,
Phil

It has been AGES! You better have a good excuse. But giving us this image will, in some small way, let me forgive you. Great lighting and textures. The water is outstanding. Very nice work.

AWESOME! I love the postwork you have done on this. The base Bryce work is none too shabby either!
