Morning at Osprey Falls by danamo

Felt like doing a landscape based on the dry Eastern side of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. Large outcrops of columnar basalt jut frequently from the hillsides and large stands of Ponderosa pine replace the firs and spruce which dominate the wet west side.
Technical notes-Basic landscape modeled and rendered in Bryce. Waterfalls, basalt columns, and dead tree modeled in Wings3D. Some rock textures are from Mayang, others from Munkh3yMagnet.

Woooohoooo! Gotta love it. Now if you could only animate the waterfall and river.

Cool composition - but I would suggest to use less blue color for fog (thickenes is OK - but blue color is too sharp in my opinion) - You could also try to add some additional lights that could simulate ambient lighting - here ambient setting seems to be too high. :-))

Thanks Czarnyrobert! I always listen to critiques, especially from people like you who really know their stuff. I might try a similar scene or repost adopting the changes you suggested and hopefully make a more effective scene. Thanks again!

Makes one want to jump in that water, super scene and actually the ambient blue reminds me of the postcard we used to send home from traveling in the car in the 70's. First rate terrain work!
