Very nice work Sue, As always a pleasure to look at, the simpleness of the image underlaid by the understated detail. I always learn something new or am inspired from your images.

It's very well done indeed. Very well textured and lightened. Simple, but beautiful, IMHO.

Thank you, Marcel. :) Yes, it's Egyptian. This storage chest was in the tomb of King Tutankhamen/Tutankhamon/Tutankhamun. There are so many different spellings of his name, I figured it's easier to just use the King Tut version. (If I remember correctly, the ancient Egyptians didn't indicate vowels in their hyeroglyphs, so it's basically a guess how exactly his name was spelled.) I think the chest opens on the top. I saw another Egyptian chest in a book with similar knobs on it and the book said that they tied a rope around those knobs in order to secure the lid. The photo of this chest was in a book, too, that's what I based this model on.

I know it's a little bit to late but I've just visit your gallery. This is a very nice work. Maybe you can add the original photo to the to the backside wall and a kind of panel in front. Just some few suggestions but again it's a beautiful picture.
