Description

Hi everyone-- Completed this yesterday after a couple afternoons of work - my entry for the Bryce April challenge. It is my interpretation of the hidden city of Gondolin from Tolkien's "The Silmarillion" Mainly bryce with some textures (and the flags) and color correction in photoshop, the buildings are a combination of Wings3d and Bryce- - The front gate has lillys in the front, maybe a small pond in front of the door, because I wanted it to seem evlish and "magical". thanks!

Just by chance I just finished re-reading The Silmarillion. Last Monday I had wondered how Gondolin would would look as a Bryce render. Great image. The texture and architecture is most appropriate. Do you have a larger view by any chance? Excellent stuff.

The postwork and the textures really make these images a must see. Another good one. Have you ever thought of making a fictitious travel guide to middle earth (with illustrations)?
