Description
Another test for some personal gallery work concerning the writings of HP Lovecraft and his, "At the Mountains of Madness" novella.
Still tinkering quite a bit but it's slowly getting there. This image is just a small part of a really huge, hi-res rendering. Took 20 hours on my Mac G4/733...at almost 4K in size.

that looks very wonderful, i'm a lovecraft fan myself. i've been thinking of doing an image based on "the unnamable" for a while, and i think you finally sparked it into reality.

Wow! Another big piece! If You allow, i have some comments, OK? This time material looks not so good :) I love that small figure - it gives feel of "real" scale there. How about camera view to other "far" perspective too (90 grad left)? I personaly disliked that blue-white ground material... I see fog/haze pix - are You rendering without antialiasing? And at least - why so many Kb? In these days jpg have more capabilities... Anyway, keep up the good Job!

Murdok, you simply can't stop creating these wickedly wonderful master works. I usually stare at your stuff over at 3DC for far too long. Keep up the inspiration! And as always, thanks for sharing it!
