The usual depth and complexity of emotion translates as beautifully through the vector style as it does any other of your amazing creations. Other than that, I'm dumbstruck again my dear friend hugest hugs Thank you so much for creating what you do and sharing it with us :) :) :)

With a strong will you can go even through elementary rock... With so few tones, with a simple expression you've made such a strong picture, tha I really have to say my first thought: WOW! I'm impressed, not only of your Illustrator skills, but your ability to find your way straight into my deepest feelings - these are eyes that can survive anywhere. They make birds to talk, they can climb over mountains - I think they can be filled with tears too, sometimes. It's all there, in this beautiful picture. Thanks Bev for this!

I really like the shades of gray...reminds me of our inner nature and what a struggle it is to turn away from the darkness and into the light.

What can I say after Titta and Christian, just agree. With a few lines you catch the whole register of feeling.....and those eyes.... awesome!

well, for a completely OUTSTANDING effect, i would have not shown the mouth of the character. Your image is flawless as it is, but try scrolling down the image till the edge of the screed hides the mouth. To me it looked even more powerful. :)just a humble suggestion :)wonderful image as it is, tho.

You bloody genius Bev! This geometric/symmetrical approach very much appeals to the graphic designer in me, but it's anything but the cold clinical kind of work that can arise from thinking in pure design alone. As the others said, you capture a plethora of emotion here, your eyes strong and defiant through repeated experience and yet retaining the look of fragility inherent in your continued kindness despite all that experience. Composition is perfect: to me it is fractal in nature, beginning with lack of detail around the edges but with detail gradually increasing (almost exponentially) as it converges into the central focal point - I feel a mathematical precision of balance here, the kind that can only come from pure intuition. There's not a single thing out of place. I'll say it again, you're a bloody genius and I look forward to the day when I can meet you hugest hugs :-)

This is so outstanding...a true self-portrait, presenting your "identity" so much more clearly than any photograph could even hope to come close to. Wonderful work!

You know how to captivate your audience Bev. I sit here staring her out, but its no good that gaze has me every time. Got to just love the use of monochrome here removes all the distractions of colour and concentrates us firmly on the composition and your crafted lines and shapes. Just wonderful, this has made my night. Hugs and stuff Jeff :0 )
