Saint Alban...this very natural structure could have well been out of the Lord of the Rings...it reminded me very much of the nordic inspired Rohirrim. It was very peaceful, but also rather powerful, and I felt a tiny bit uncomfortable staying there too long. It was impossible to capture the power of the architecture as a whole, so I went for detail. I love how light enhances colour.
I'm sorry for not having the chance to comment yet today...I still have hopes...but trust me, if I do miss out on photos, it will be I that is most saddened.
Hoping that you are all well. Thanks for viewing.

Not seen lord of the rings...what I feel from this is your sense of awe and respect-the angles of the building and your pov enhance this sensation. Very strong.

The mossy slates and roofline suggest its age. I get uncomfortable around some of these Catholic saints shrines as well. A bit of weird veneration going on. Great pic RN.

Aged beauty, wisdom, seeing past and present..... just some of what is running through my head at the sight of this.... Beautiful texture and angles in this.... and I apologize for my absence from your gallery of late... taking a moment to stop and enjoy the scenery.... before getting back to real life.....

i got too sleepy last night to comment...anyway, I was just staring at this one a lot...really love how you just narrowed your focus to the top of this structure...makes for very interesting and unusual photo. anyway, I love this a lot, and today I tried to capture the architect of an extraordinary structure by using a similar POV. It may be awhile before I post it...working on a difficult collage right now! Anyway, love this shot!

Love the DOF and tones here... Really beautiful. I'd be a bit tempted to erase that thingy on the top of the roof, though - to make it look even simpler, but that's just me. Wonderful detail :)))
