Did you ever wonder what is going on around you? No I don't mean that, I mean about the things you can't see, sometimes! Are you reading this late at night, with just the monitor for light? Was that a creak behind you? NO, don't look. Just relax. Now you know there is Nothing behind you, so why give in to look? Give in? Oh give in to that fear, the unknown, the off chance that something just Might be there. No of course not, after all we are grown ups and we don't fear the Dark, or do we? How many times have you seen something just out of the corner of your eye? How many times have you seen this after the moon rises and the night swallows the light? There is no reason to fear the dark. When you sleep your eyes are shut and your "in the Dark." You don't fear that. Oh yeah you don't know what goes on around you while you sleep. Does some one stand there and watch you for a while? Maybe they just walk through your room to go to another room in another house that used to be on the site of your house. Do you live in a "new" home, or do you live in a apartment that has had 20 different people living there before you? Do you know the history of where you live? Listen, was that a foot step? Don't look, you don't want them to know, that you know they are here. Did you hear that bump from out side. Go outside and check on it! Maybe it's just kids, maybe it's not. Ah it's just the neighbors dog, safe again. Foot steps behind you? Creaking's off to the left of you? Don't fear the night for it is our friend. The night covers you in a cloak of secrecy as well as the other! Do you believe in Ghosts? Do you believe that Ghost's come out only at night? Do you almost feel that hand on your shoulder? DON'T LOOK!! Why do you feel so safe in the daylight? Ghosts are still there, they do not need the night to roam. Is there a chill in the air, or was it just a slight breeze on the back of your neck? Did you lock all the doors and close all the windows? You did? Good, but that stuff doesn't stop a ghost. Wait, I just heard a noise again. I want to look, but I can't. Damn, there it is again. Don't ask why, I don't know. Being a ghost isn't too bad, but I'd sure like to try some of that Pizza, have a good cup of coffee and a smoke. I can smell but can't taste any thing.
