Description

Looking down some 1000 meters (all right, it was 985 meters to be exactly) it is so intriguing to see how life continues. Water of the Aare channel streams into Lake Brienz. Small waves caused by the wind (blowing in one special direction) reflect the light of the sun. On this distance everything seems to happen at a slower pace. People transporting themselves by foot, bike, car, or train. Waves moving on the water, birds flying far away. It expands my mind to quiet down. I do hope this picture gives you something of serenity in your heart to stand fast wherever you are! Someone once said 'Minds are like parachutes they only work when they are open'. Hope my parachute would open if I skiied right off the edge!!!!! BTW this is a very beautiful shot, lovely colours and like how you caught the shimmer on the water.

Ski-diving.... This shot is made on May 9, 2000. Unfortunately I am not living in the Alps, but else would these things have looked so normal and now I can enjoy it so very much!
