Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

I have watched these 'shoals' and wondered about them myself. I even videoed and photographed them from that once. The idea I come up with is simple. Currents, wind and light! A more theological answer embracing wind motion, cloud motion, aspects of the water cycle is in the Bible - John's Gospel 3:8.

I think addiek has your answer for you. Also, the angle of the sun in relation to you and the water determins if you see the glittery refections of it. Wonderful shot, are you going to ZOOM in even closer? ;^]

Cool image. I like the series. Increasing zoom and showing more detail in each picture is a nice idea. I like the birdseye view. Unfortunately the thumbnail does not reveil the true beauty. Thumbs up!
