Description
The planet is Luminaire. The creature is a tentacled plant that exists as a dual entity...mirrored below the surface. Feeds on flying and swimming creatures.
Voyager 1.1.2, Groboto 1.6b (classic), and PS 7.

I love this series Jamie. Where can one get Groboto? I have only a slight criticism of this image: I understand your desire to use the Voyager scene as a backdrop for the fantastic creature. However, I think you've shrouded it a bit too much with haze and shadow to the point where the creature stands out a little too much and so appears to be inserted rather than integrated. In this regard your last image with this creature was more successful. Nevertheless, I love this image!

Well, it's all an experiment. I have a haze over the plant creature but pulled it back...maybe too much. I did knock the saturation down but maybe not quite enough. I'll look at it again. Groboto can be found at www.groboto.com Make sure you get Grobovision as well since you can render in it (with alpha channel.) Or you can import it into Bryce or other 3D apps to render and texture. Thanks for the comments.

Just added a bit more haze in front of the plant. See if that helps. Cheers, J

Oops. I have just noticed that my first comment was deleted without me pushing the delete button. Of course I have to comment that this picture is fantastic and the way you added the tentacled plant is outstanding!

Kind of a bicoastal plant? Cool!

This came out really great! Hopefully by the time we get an OSX version of Groboto, we will have true importation features into Voyager.
