Wonderful Cassie! I love the subject, I love the way you've created it. Those "decent" people really can't bear the of free mind, where the birds can have your last piece of bread. They can't bear it even they saw you must be an angel - that doesn't matter, because you don't act, by the rules, you dont look like the rules say you should... I think she has chosen herself her path, preferring to be a "loser" than lose herself. She isn't very happy, but happiness is not all that values:-) and maybe she is just seriously talking to the birds, telling stories... Thank, Cass, for this picture! HUGS:-)

This is a very powerful work that brings a lump to the throat. Who is to say that an person looked down upon by some isn't truely one of the angels that walk amongst us? Beautiful emotioanal work! I love this!!

Fantastic piece Cassie!! So sadly showing today's reality! That man's expression is so annoying! She's here, feeding the birds and not pissing off anyone and yet, she seems to really annoy him! What a jerk!! Wonderful work Cass and so beautifully executed with all those 'lil details...simply awesome! :)

I can't help but wonder just who is the outcast here, did he miss his bus & does he really want to go that route anyway?! Love the way the stark simplicity of the linear perspective underpins the more subtle shifting perceptions, great details too! Excellent work as always Cass, thank you so much for sharing hugs

Ah yes... our fallen hero returns. Simply marvelous line work Cassie, I LOVE THIS! Remembering the history of this series you have running I am forced to think of the outcast as a pitiful creature. He has seen the stages of despair, the torment of futile anger, and now he wishes he could take it back... start anew. But alas for him, the world has moved on without him. The fallen angel can only reflect on what once was and SHOULD be... but is no more. Truly amazing Cassie. Thank you for sharing this wonder with us.

Someone needs a serious dose of Mary Poppins I think. At lesat the birds will always appreciate the deeds he does, but great things come from samll beginnings. Great perspective in here, the clean surface of the pavement highlights the ragged angel all the more, and the church in the background also makes a statement, as well as the annoyed expression. It tells a great story, and thanks for sharing it. I can't wait to see the next chapter in the angel series. hug

I really like this. I identify with the person. This is reallly good and makes a good point of how some people are just different. Good work!

More than anything else I love the light in this, and your birds are just exquisite. So well drawn sweetie, and your angel looks so warm, loving and compassionate despite his situation, being looked down on and judged by all and sundry... the ignorant bystander reflects this well. Excellent sweetie, look forward to the next HUGS :-D

Boo yah! You da wo, man. Another impeccable piece in this most superlative of series, and my personal favourite of them all. There is just 'something' about this piece, that ever-so-elusive Factor of X! I like what Bevchiron said too, about which one is the outcast - it's all a matter of perspective, innit? Like all true art, really! No (_8(|)s.

Another super image in your series Cassie missing the humour of the others but still a very interesting image I like the perspective and monochromatic treatment. :O )

I also wonder who the 'true' outcast is, as to me it feels the fellow in the business suit is the one standing apart. In this quiet scene, he looks as though he knows he is the one out of place, while the birds, the life depicted, centers around the angel, no matter the ragged look displayed. A beautiful, piece, CassieHUGS I especially love how there's so much detail to the angel and birds, in contrast to the sterile appearance of the sidewalk and bus stop sign.

I had the same idea as Mneme -- the true outcast is the fellow with suit... He's left out of all living, trying to find comfort from a briefcase and a magazine...
