Description

Steve was my identical twin brother, who died about five years ago. Jerry was what they called me, but I always hated the name. When we were nine, our mother moved us from a small town in Michigan back to her family farm in northcentral Kansas. There only seemed to be grass and sky. We often explored for miles around. There were a number of old barns, mostly abandoned. We were "two ducks in a henyard,"--two nerdie little "townies" dumped into a rural culture and setting--but also intrepid explorers of a--to us--alien world. But we still had each other. I really miss him. At first, we hated everything, except the skies. We missed the trees and forests, sidewalks, etc. But we eventually came to love that wide open spaciousness. After a lifetime of living upon it, the prairie has made me a part of itself. That's one reason why I'm more likely to make a picture with a prairie setting than with a mountain one. Used Poser 5 and Bryce 5 to create and render. Barn by Ed Baumgarten but retextured by me. Thanks, Ed! Fence is a Net freebie by George239 over at 3d Commune. Thanks to you, George! Grass in corral is by Transpond. Thanks, Chris and Judith! Grainfields beyond is Traveler's RDNA Fields - Volumetric Field. Thanks, Traveler! The tree in the background is one of Modalz's Old Wood trees with textures by Judith Ward. Thanks to both of you. P4 horse with texture by MoonRose. Twins figures are P4 boy with Colin morph by HaiGan. Thanks, HaiGan!

Great Image! Reminds of a farm I stayed on in summer long ago. the textures for the field, horse, barn and tree are PERFECT do not change them. The kids textures at least the skin is a bit washed out, also some soft shadows would help. The hills in background need a little work as it does not blend in and is distracting. Maybe just a little work on the sky. But what a great image!

Very playfull scene, the grass looks great the horse realistic the textures on the barn are fine..but the story is sad.. Vile is right about the sky and background. Try to get more drama in the clouds and maybe some depth in the sky (eg brighten it up towards the horizon) otherwise good work
