Description

ok i know it still needs work but he was only really made as something to composite for this months challenge so i wasnt planning to go nuts on the details. he is based on a creature from an old xbox game (i think it was oddworld), anyway i modelled him straight from the original concept sketch i found on the net. all polys, rendered maya4 default. comments welcome...

He is awesome! His skin is so perfect you can almost feel the texture of it. Great details, and I think it was Oddworld, too.

Superb model and texture work and I love the saddle too. This has to be one of the best creature models that I've seen in years - bravo!

cheers all, the high res version is around 600000 polys (including everything in scene, i have also a more sensible version at around half that. theres still a couple of things i need to do before its finished though, dont know if u noticed but his right arm is kind of twisted because of some wierd skin weighting which ill have to fix + i saved his skin texture as a .gif by mistake which made it all grainy, so either i re-do the texture or try and clean it up some.
