Description
Pteranodon Steinbergi, with a head as big as a person and 25 ft. wingspan, snack on estuary fish before foraging over100 miles out to sea. (per National Geographic)
Strata3D. Texture maps in Photoshop. No postrender.
If anyone is interested: the terrain is a greyscale tif imported into Strata
the water is a bump map
the waterfall is a skinned object with volumetric mist
the pteranodons are comb. of skinned, metaball, and
bezier objects booleaned together and IK'd. (color is
my conjecture)
the cirus clouds are a opacity map
the cumulus clouds (upper right) are polymeshes with
opacity maps
