Description

UF, photo, PS6 for frame Can not believe it My gentle giant went away On this sunny day Urchin is no more ... Had to let him go, the pain of the recently developed bone cancer was too much for my big boy. But he will live on as my working name, here on renderosity. We had a wonderful life together and I know he will be waiting for Linda and me, somewhere across the rainbow bridge. So, please raise your glass tonight, to the memory of Irish Wolfhound "Urchin of Beltine". He will never leave my heart ... Thank you so much for viewing and all of your comments. Dirk

I deeply regret your loss. I'll raise my glass to Urchin tonight, and to you, that you have to deal with your own pain. As they say in Spain: Hasta siempre (Till always.)

I'm sorry to hear about Urchin. I certainly know your pain. My wife and I lost our little beagle last October. There are nights that I can still hear him snoring next to the bed.

I'm so sorry about Urchin and for your loss, Dirk. According to my belief, there is a hereafter for animals, too..and your beloved Urchin seems to have fulfilled the measure of his creation. Your tribute is beautifully expressed in words and in this fine image.

When my dog goes (she's only 2) I'm going to really feel the hurt so I sympathize with you. A great image -- I will drink to your friend tonite - here's hoping there really is a "happy sniffing grounds" as my dad used to tell me..

My deepest condolences to you and Linda, Dirk. You have not only lost a wonderful pet, and your best friend, but a member of the family. I have lost three four-legged furry kidlins to old age in the last year, and I know what a hole there will be in your household for a good while to come! What a majestic and handsome dog he seems to have been and you have created a lovely tribute to him. God Bless your family. I'll light a candle tonight in your honor.

Its awful to lose such a loving friend, i understand that completely. It is indeed losing a member of the family, and leaves such an empty space, i am so sorry to hear about it. This is a fine and wonderful tribute to such a beautiful dog.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I know all too well that grief. Loving and having pets means one day we will be mourning their loss. Yet, we do it again and again. I guess it shows that they gave us enough love, while with us, to continue on, and do it all over again with another pet. I swore, after the loss of a cherished friend, I wouldn't ever get another one ... and then I would turn around and bring a new ball of fur into the house, feeling a little guilty at first about loving him. But it was the love I had for the one before which showed me how to love the next one. Yet, sometimes I still hear my dog at the door and still turn to see if he is sitting there waiting, or look down on an impulse thinking my cat is at my feet. I guess that means they're not ever going to be really gone. What a beautiful tribute for you friend. And again, I am sorry.
