Canon 10D + Sigma 105mm EX Macro

The first Water Iris flower to bloom in our garden this year. I adore them...their powerful colours and architectural nature. It was wonderful to see it out on Friday...and today there are two more out with it. Soon that corner of the garden will be pure purple.

Amazingly intricate colour designs on these purple irises & isn't purple a peculiarly nice colour alongside yellow & white! Great one.
