Description

To me...now this is just me talkin' here...this looks like a deep sea archer fish with a glowing eye. Taken on Lake Macquarie, Australia with an Olympus C-150 Digicam. ~*@*~ Thanks for viewing and your feedback is always appreciated.

Ah, you've posted it! hugs :-D
It's a nice crop, although for me I felt the whole thing worked just as effectively ;-) Don't really know the fish so can't compare, but it's definitely the eye of something! I love the tranquillity of this shot, it's very calming but yet I get the feeling of something imagined lurking around the corner! ;-)
Thanks for sharing this sweetie hugs :-)

Love this one Cass! It's got such a great feeling of drama yet it's still so serene & calming too.... or at least it was until you & Jim got me imagining giant fish & strange things lurking lol! Great shot anyway, so glad you posted it hugs

This is a timeless image, in that there is no telling when in (pre)history this image comes from. Also the sun is huge and so fierce with those dazzling flares. Paradoxically, I also feel a sense of cold. I agree with Synapse, there is something unsettling here too. I guess that's what makes it successful. Thanks for sharing.

I think I can see the fish in there, it's an awesome pic you've taken sweetie, it's got that still tranquil feeling I remember being there, and were it summer I'd also recall the millions of midges and others trying to make a meal out of me! Love the aura of the sun through the leaves too, thanks for sharing it with us. hugs

That's extremely cool looking, the sun glowing through the leaves like that. It's almost like the light burned a hole there! I don't know what that particular fish looks like, but there's definitely a piscine feel to the image.
