Description
Watercolour on canvas (original size 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 foot), a commission from my digital version of "Chivalry" . Personally, I like this version best, not only for the background, but the anatomy feels a little more correct.

HUGEST HUGS xxx :-D
I loved the original as you know, but for me this surpasses it. Yes, the anatomy is more correct here as I always felt there was something not quite right about his hand and arm in the original. Also you've used a much warmer more homogenous colour scheme here, and the background is less fussy and more flowing, the attention is drawn to the centre of focus without being distracted by unnecessary detail. Your rendering here is beautiful, particularly her hair and translucent dress are an absolute joy. Masterwork my friend, thank you so much for sharing with us... it makes me think of you and Matt as your relationship is every bit as chivalrous and beautiful HUGS :-)

Watercolor is hard to contol, and you did it beautifully. The transparancy of her gown really impressed me and the hair could be no easy task. Great lighting and composition.

Interested in why you would use canvas for watercolours as they need to be kept under glass, also how you achieve such dark geometric lines in this medium and no graininess of the canvas showing through the transparencies? Watercolours are achieved by washes of colour , impossible to put those white shapes over the brown bench as thw white and light parts are achieved by allowing the white background to show through. Your technique is very unique, perhaps you could explain to us how you achieve this.

This one has as much charm as the original which I liked just as well as this one. Each has its own magical enchantment I think that makes it unique. This has such a wonderful warmth to it, you've really brought out the chivalry in this. Thanks for sharing it! hugs

There is a wonderfully silky quality to this, an excellent counterpoint to the crisper digital version. This one brings to mind Arthurian tales and Avalon and all sorts of ethereal images. And I thought you did an amazing job on the dress before, but this, in watercolour no less: just wow. Awesome:D HUGS

You do things with watercolours that defy conventional thinking. I wish this was hanging on MY wall - pout. Btw, CWA4LIFE it's called skill. And he still doesn't have any pants.

i love the way you have followed your own style here, i can tell it must be your own because the way the characters are displayed are in a world of their own. crunchyfrog this has emmense power and i can feel god in this, throughout every moment. this picture is alive a moment in time snatched from the air and somehow magically displayed before my very eye.
