Description
Been a while since I last uploaded, couldn't get out of the ideas-drought I was in. This one was in danger of becoming very similar to my "Bay of Storms" pic, so I did everything I could to reduce the similarity. Then the message in a bottle idea occured to me :)
I made the bottle and message in truespace 6 - i still need practice with the lathe tool. Bottles are harder than they look...or is that just me?
Cheers

Lovely! I can certainly remember soft days at the beach like this - no one around, just the gulls and the quiet rippling water. Bravo!!!

Thanks for all the comments :) I just realised that the bottle should really have a cork in it, or the message will get soggy! I could redo the image but I'd lose viewings/comments :(

A deceptively simple and well composed image! Very well done!

Stunning work! Your bottle looks very well made and I love the rest of the image too.

You know, a lot of times, the simplest of images can give off the most emotion. This is one of those cases. The mystery of the bottle's origin, what's inside, the vast landscape. Excellent all around...

Hrm... I think they are harder then they look, but then again, I CAN'T MODEL! LOL I think you did an incredible job on it, joey, you are kickin some butt with that modeling thing. Beautiful work on the whole dang image. EXCELLENT!
