Description
Neela and Sharra didn't belong to the thieves guild that most people had heard about, but lived under the mentorship of an old dwarf. It is he they went to when they had problems or needed help. He had taught them much about picking locks and how to deal with guards. He also served as fence for their stolen goods as he kept a good standing with the thieves guild just to move their merchandise. The thieves guild would probably frown on such an arrangement should they ever be discovered, but the dwarf was always on top of local information as well and knew when to keep low. Neela and Sharra told the old dwarf about this nights raid on the Ebanard estate. The tale was bittersweet. He was a bit upset at the duo for hitting a target of such a pronouced nobleman as Ebanard. Targets such as him were dangerous to perform without certain arrangements within the thieves guild. Men such as Ebanard wielded much power within the city and it was often difficult to tell how much influence the powerful had with the city's "criminal" elements. Though, he was quite happy with the size and value though of the take when Sharra opened up her bag of goodies. He would have to take care in moving this merchandise though should the guild be unhappy with the burglary of nobleman Ebanard. Still he was happy that the too were unhurt and amazed at the skill the two had shown to hit such a target on a whim without weeks of planning. He always called them foolish youngsters for not planning their targets more carefully. As the tale moved from the Ebanard estate down into the underground where they had witnessed such a strange ritual, the dwarf grew very concerned. It was not uncommon to stumble upon strange events with their profession, but something in their descriptions troubled him. Still, that such a large number of underground structures possibly filled with treasures also intrigued him. He begged the two not to go back down there for a while until he made some inquiries as to what that place was and who might be performing rituals there. The two hesitantly agreed.
