Canon 10D + Sigma 105mm EX Macro ISO 200 f2.8 1/1000 For LadyAya who yesterday commented on a fly photo when she hates bugs. That took bravery...and as there will be quite a few bug pics to come in the next week, this iris is for you. Thanks for viewing.

Yes, the work on background is great. Makes the purple flower spring up from the dark. Beautiful work, really, and nice crop too!

I wish that chrysalid(e) would open up a bit more! LOL... I like the blurring here because it works well with the dark background, y'know purple and black, soft night colours with the velvet texture of petals...thepink & gold is a bonus!! Aya SHOULD love it!!
