Description

Canon 10D + Sigma 105mm EX Macro + 2x Teleconverter ISO 400 f4 1/250 I found this beautiful catapillar in the garden a couple of days ago. I couldn't decide whether he reminded me more of a train, or of a mig fighter pilot. This shot, though, is definitely the train. I deliberately kept the f-stop small to get that feel of distance. Thanks for viewing.

Brilliant title for a brilliant shot! Perfect & deliberate narrow depth of field and accompanying colour range (i.e. predominant green, black and yellow tones) has made this such an original capture ...now I gotta get off the tracks, before I'm run over by the 11:50am Bullet Caterpillar! Regards M. :))

Awesome shot... but caterpillars freak me out.. centipieds, millipieds, pretty much anything that has more than four legs... I'm a big sissy...
