Oh my, it's beautiful. I'm in my mid 40's, so if you're younger you might not relate to what I'm about to say. This reminds me of my childhood fairy tale books, that were full of the most beautiful illustrations that were expertly painted. They were very thick wonderful books and so much care was given to the art. That's where your art belongs...in a book that a child keeps forever. No, wait!! In a book for ME too! Stunning work, I'm so impressed!

I am younger than you are, but I do know precisely the kind of book you mean. Not sure my art is yet quite of that quality, but I sure do miss those books. "Merlin Dreams", illustrated by Alan Lee, is a favourite of mine, and also "The Golden Bird", with illustrations by Jan Pienkowski. There were others, as well...but it's been a while.

I'm glad I'm reading a good "storybook" right now, or this would make me long for one! Beautiful work.
