Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

This is an amazing photo, though I'm not sure it calms me. It is energizing to see that dynamic vista below and the stone that look as if they were piled there by a giant!

Fantastic! Reminds me of an area I used to hike along the Palisades in New Jersey. There is a rock there I used to visit often, overlooking the Hudson River. To get ot it I would have to almost climb out to it as it was separated from the cliff by a few feet. Once there it was 500 feet down on all but one side.

incredible rock formation, and my gosh, what a view!!!! I'm a little dizzy teetering so close to the edge!!! i love the designs made by the trees, and, of course, those magnificent clouds!!! vote! P.S. what kind of camera did you end up deciding on? I've used both but find digital much easier...did have fun in the dark room though but that was MANY years ago!!!
