I started out using the 3D program called Imagine on an Amiga in 1990, switched to the PC around 1995, then switch to Lightwave3D around 2005 or so. I own a graphics company that specializes in architectural illustrations and animation. If you are looking for a job doing this kind of stuff, willing to relocate to Memphis, TN, and use Lightwave, drop me a note as I am probably hiring.

And we are very pleased you did. I always find you work inspiring and generally get a good idea or 3 lookin at your stuff. Thanx fer that as well. Beautiful lighting and lights[lamps], are those lil volumetric spheres I see?...beautiful effect. Just out of curiousity, how many lights total? Oh yeah, interesting way you reveal the ceiling arcs in the reflection on the floor..I like that kind of thinking.

Top quality - though I can't look for too long as the height is making feel a bit dizzy!

Bobby, I don't recall how many lights there are total, but I do know there are 48 raytraced lights up in the skylight.... there are probably another 20 or 30 lights that do not cast shadows.... and each one uses the 1/r2 falloff... including the raytraced ones.... I'm in the process of learning Lightwave, so my days in this gallery for posting new stuff are numbered.... oh, and I usually don't do any post render touch up, but I hit those lights with a bit of white spray paint in PaintShopPro... so it wasn't volumetrics, but in the past I have used it for this a few times... in fact, just last week... lol

wow i looked at the picture and i got dizzy. i felt like i was back in church. actually i just filmed a wedding and i was going to do a 3d model of the church for them as a walk through. it almost looked like this except...smaller. this image is so great. i love the detail on the lamps hanging. can't wait to see your work in lightwave.
