This is an image (one of about 50) that my son took. I was going to put up one of the ones he took of me straightening my skirt, fluffing my hair, fixing my bra, making a face or yelling at him to quit laughing and just take the stupid picture ... but decided on this one instead.BIOI am a freelance writer and published author, from Canada. I also putter with web design and fractals. My friends cringe when they open their e-mail and see an attachment with the subject line "What do you think of this one?"
I also do public speaking and have a book published, on bullying, which came out this year. I speak in schools and for different organizations about bullying and writing and it's pretty time consuming but a lot of fun ... the kids are great. I also work for a major financial institution, I guess you could say in my spare time. :)
I have a website for the book, if anyone is interested in seeing what it's about ...

This one goes on my wall. Your ease with abandon, your ability to say in line what must be said and no more or no less, your usual hypnotic appeal, your unique sense of play, your risk-taking skill with implicit motion in your design, and, above all, your ability to stop my breathing because I am blown away, all make this one very special to me. And, yes, the poem shows that your visual mastery has a giggling side to it too! I don't know roadrunner, but this birthday present should slow him down to a stop -and with delight. P.S. Happy Birthday to you, roadrunner!

I'm really worring about me now...I understood every word...and I think I saw brian chasing a stick cow in the fractal you so expertly created. The world of brian is a great place to visit...I don't know if I could live there, but I might stay for a day or two for a steak (medium Porterhouse please). Tell um brian...we ain't old yet...we just have body parts that have slowed down because they can't keep up with us. Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear brian, happy birthday to you. What a great voice I still have. I agree with you all, ann, tex, and vjera. Jim, you don't know what you're missin. Have a good one my friend, you have made this world a better place to be. Steve

The fractal is full of gaiety and energy ... goes with a swing so to speak, not unlike a roadrunner. It is superbly supported by a really amusing [and accurate]verse/tribute which is most certainly Brian to the very life. I'm very glad that he liked your piece ... but still ... these youngsters do get very excited don't they? WINK

PAT .... well, ya' went and done it .... made a '53' year old 'boy' get all teary eyed .... THANK YOU kind lady! ....Darkangels764's first line above explains it exactly .... ALL .... THANKS, KINDLY, also .... MUCH APPRECIATED .... I'm going into my '3rd' childhood .... I know I'm supposed to act like a 'grown up' .... and, most times I hope that I do .... wink! .... but, I've found in my life, personally, that the times I forgot the 'kid' in me, was when life became boring, stressful, and at times, overwhelming .... we see the world through our youthful eyes at first .... no one or nothing has corrupted it as yet .... then, as we age, all different kinds of influences bombard us and change us .... some for the better and some for the worst .... I know some here may think I know 'all' the answers, as I am very passionate about what I feel in my heart .... For the record, I do 'not' know anything for sure .... I'm just a man walking this earth, hopefully trying to make it a better place for the next person .... albeit only 'slightly' better .... I see way too much of "The world sucks" mentality, of which I feel, at times, also .... I just happen to feel the world sucks because the human race has let it down .... I believe in an afterlife .... but, I also believe we were all put here for a reason .... and while we're all here, we might as well make it the best it can be .... one person at a time .... I truly do think, we the people, get what we 'deserve'.... or what we do or do not fight for .... I think we have all sometimes forgotten that 'we' still can 'change' things .... we sometimes have the attitude 'we can't fight city hall' and we all lock our doors from one another .... so sad, imho .... THANKS, again to EVERYONE here at RENDEROSITY .... (even those who disagree with some or most of my 'stuff' I post!) .... I measure a person by their 'heart' .... I hope I will be measured by that, also .... MUCH APPRECIATED .... brian .... PAT .... WONDERFUL FRACTAL and the poem was speechlessly good! .... brian. BEEP! BEEP! (ultimate roadrunner compliment!). UPDATE TO PAT - JUNE 18TH - Have I told ya' that I really liked this? .... beep! beep! UPDATE-JUNE21ST .... PAT .... have I told ya' how much I REALLY liked this? .... wink! .... brian.
