This is a "sculpture" on the grounds of the San Jacinto Battlegrounds near Houston Texas. The tower in the background is the San Jacento Monument. It is taller than the Washington Monument in DC. Jack

There is a monument errected on 25th and Broadway in Galveston, Texas commemorating the Texas War of Independence. The figure at the top "Liberty" points towards this monument. The Battle of San Jacinto was the last battle of the war. General Santa Anna surrendered to Texan forces here.
