Description

Skyler thinks he is hiding very effectively. I like this cropping because we see his glee. But in the full shot, we see 90% of the dog is in full view, only part of his face is obscured by foliage, he only thinks he is hiding, and it is terribly amusing. The only one you can really kid is oneself.

Good point - in the fuller shot, it was just trimming it to the document of the scene with a photograph-rectangle-aspect-ratio ... when I cropped in to this version, I intentionally chose a square shape and had to decide where to position that, so then I was actually making a composition, and I just followed my instinct ... you almost can't crop too much, to compose ~ for example in this version we often discover both eyes actually are in the picture and it jars sense of perspective, in the fuller shot they are also there but with the whole dog hanging out to giggle at, why bother to see the eyes.
