Mordimus stands at the back of the cavern, watching with grim satisfaction as his army overwhelms the gate to the city. There is a slight rush of cold air as Kiana, the Goddess of Cruelty, takes human form beside him. "They kill for you, my lady." "I know, Mordimus," she breathes, her voice cold and distant, reaching his ears across the aeons of space and time. "You do well." "Then, perhaps..." Mordimus begins. He hesitates, licking his lips nervously. "Perhaps my lady would see fit to grant me a new gift. So that I might serve her better." A slight grin touches Kiana's lips. "You ask me this again, Mordimus? What makes you think my answer will be different this time? Do not allow me to become bored with you." Far in the distance, the orcs kill the last of the gate guards and storm into the city. Kiana's eyes narrow and penetrate the mighty walls of stone, savouring the terrified cries of men, women and children as the orcs slaughter them at random. "I want only to please you, my lady..."
