Description

The gate is opened. The trader is let through. Suddenly there is a loud mechanical crack, following by the bitter shriek of twisting wood. The wagon lurches forward then crashes to the ground, its wheels collapsing under its weight. The Captain of the Gate hurries to the scene. "Is everybody okay? Is anybody hurt?" But even before he can reach the wagon, the trader has leapt out of her seat and run to him. "Please!" she begs, falling to her knees in front of him. "Don't hurt me, I'm not with them. They made me do it!" Then, shooting a quick terrified glance toward the open gate, she climbs to her feet and runs into the city. "What the Hell...?" the Captain mumbles, staring after her. And then it dawns on him: the crippled wagon is blocking the gate - the gate cannot be shut. "Sound the alarm!" he cries. "We're under attack!" The guards on the platforms sound the bells. A shrill, inhuman war cry echoes out from the cavernous chamber beyond the gate...
