Description

Going higher means going back in time. Every 100 meter altitude shortens summer with about a week. Somewhere around 3000 m (in the southern Alps a little higher) there is no summer anymore. Always snow. Not here, anyway. The mezereon (Daphne mezereum, now you know where this girl's name originates from) is still blooming here. The tall branches are bare, only the ends carry leaves and flowers. Without flash the contrast between dark and light side of this flower comes close to the extremes allowed by this film. Excellent capture! Daphne is a beautiful lady!!!! i wonder if she has some healing powers??? these mountains hold much interest...very mysterious and changing.
