Description

Modeled and rendered in LightWave 3D, destined for use in Poser. No final textures on the model yet, a custom uv map with decals and weathering will be done at a later stage. All textures used here are from my seamless tile texture pack. The grass was done using four iterations of Saslite, I should've used more, but I'm not happy about how the shadows are working out with that grass. This is a conceptual military transport, designed to resemble a "flying brick". I was going for a rough and rugged "near-tech" look. Something familiar, but vaguely unique. It will be commercially available for Poser very soon. Critical input and comments are always appreciated. Thank you very much for taking the time to look.

With careful texture application you could probably modify this for a civilian transporter/truck as well as for military applications. Like the functional design, clearly a workhorse vehicle rather than an aesthically pleasing vehicle.

Superb Moe, I really love this one. Its not exactly the same style as models I'm working on but will fit in with them perfectly and will give me a more realistic sence of variation, can't waite for it to be out for Poser.

Excellent work Moe! Looks like something you might get if you cross-bred a 2001 moonbus with a UFO SHADO Mobile, then weaned the offspring on steroids ;) I agree with Jody about it being able to double-up as a heavy-duty civilian vehicle - maybe it's the fact that I grew up watching Thunderbirds, but I can also see it with a heavily weathered yellow colour scheme, functioning as some kind of emergency rescue vehicle.

i got this weird idea... u can easily convert it into either in-city rapid shuttles, getting rid of the turret, adding windows and giving it a less "military" look (could be running on rails or antigrav suspensors) or... have you read "The Fountains of Paradise" by Arthur C. Clarke? ;) U'll know what i mean if u read it - the great interplanetary tower built on Kalidasa's Tower - these could be the shuttles running on either row of the four lines leading to... lets say the Moon. Now i don't recall exactly if, in the end, they built such things to all the nearby planets around Earth, but hey, i found this as an extraordinary concept... Man, if you could do this, I'd raise you a statue!! :) Awesome model with A LOT of perspectives for evolution ;)

This is a great concept, Moe! Looks really awesome - perfect for the initial invasion force in Dystopia.

looking good moe... maybe some extendable wing to help it take off? and maybe a missile pod just so it won't look defenseless? i really like the overall design, not too complex and not too simple. :)

Great To See You Posting Again Moe. The Design Is Great, Love The Description Key. Keep Em Coming. (Dont Worry Too Much About The Saslite, I Think We All Have The Same Problems On The Damn Thing.)

Damn, late as always. Nice detailing on it, and love that low slung box look - similar shape to the design of the aliens vehicle.
