Description

Here is my first Terregen image. It is still a work in process. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated. The highlights on the water need to be toned down some.

Wellcome here! :-) You may try to reduce the sun size a bit. Another position for the sun would help to show more details of your surface. Go on! You are on the right way.

This is your first Terragen image? Wow, you've got too much time on your hands. This is way better than my first image. Ok, some suggestions. First, you might want to make the horizon not end so quickly. Maybe go in with Photoshop and add in sommore water to the edge. And second, the terrain is a little sharp. Maybe increase the resolution of the terrain? Otherwise, it's an awesome image! Excellent work!

First of all, very good for your first! (I accidently found one of my early images and screamed...) There's a lot of help to be found in the above comments. Here's my little bit: for water reflections set the amount from sun to zero & increase the overall reflectivity to 150%. And for the sky - very nice, just avoid 3D clouds for realism. Yours look 2D & very good! Hope you enjoy!

Very good first image... Your sky is really good! Maybe the sun reflection in the water is too big, if you decrease the water reflection il would be great... You can also play with the surfaces...

beats mine..wish I hadn't erased it..;) looks pretty good, like you've taken the time to play with it..yeah, move the sun around and experiment with that..come by the Terragen forum, and try getting some of the plugins, which can give you more options like lava and surf (hmm..maybe those are in Terragen by now..I haven't used it in awhile..;) keep it up..
