Description

Thank your for your delightful comments on this series so far! It's just as if I'm doing this trip over, but now in your companionship. Your sympathy and shared wisdom, with your own experiences, please me very much. Wrong decisions can lead to frightening experiences. Not everyone returns out of the mountains so I guess I'm lucky to be back safe and sound. But it left some changes. Up there values changed, unnoticed things became suddenly important while other valued things became suddenly worthless. I did not have to worry about irritating motorists, underhand pickpockets or money troubles. The goal to get down, in one piece, that was the thing that possessed my mind. 'Am I going to see back my beloveds?' I couldn't answer that question. Nevertheless, I was not alone there. I was not without Guide, I realized. Having found the right track I could go on, leave the track for the summit (too bad, but better give up than being beaten by the mountain) and continue on this height before going down into the valley. Here I come in the landscape that I saw before in Guidance 6. It is a weird landscape of grey limestone rocks with deep crevices and still some snow. Some crocuses pop out of the ground immediately after the snow has dissappeared. The swiss stone pines give some green coloring to this moon landscape. I enjoy every step, being sure it is part of the track. I've learned my lesson. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 100 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Another excellent landscape and I khink that if you believe in the good power of the mountains nothing can happen to you, is not a question of lucky or unlucky... If we love in the dept of our heart the nature, she just present us love!!! Great shot!!! :)

I know exactly what you speak of when you talk about the peace you felt in this place. I visited the mountains this weekend and was in awe of the silence...just sheer silence. You don't realize how busy and noisey our lives are until you hear the stillness of nature. It really elevates your spirit. The rocks in this photo are absolutly beautiful with the surrounding snow!

That is an amazing limeston edifice. The snow and pines make it a wonderful view. As always, your commentary adds even more interest to the photo.

The call of the mountains can be strong and the urge to get to the top can override some peoples' judgement. Getting out of potentially difficult situation however can be the highlight of the walk, I'll never forget the day my wife lost her crampon strap on a very very steep, ice covered hill side, it took hours to get down, great fun?

incredible beauty!!! yes, i can see how one's values would change in this place. and how reliance on your Guide puts everything in perspective. Those lonely trees scattered across the rocky terrain...they stand tall and listen to the wind, providing shelter and breathing life into the Earth!!! Everything has a purpose in life. vote!
