Description

Welcome to my sequence "KOYAANISQATSI". Well, you might know this word, I took it from Godfrey Reggio's trilogy. "Koyaanisqatsi" was produced between 1975 and 1982 (!). I'm very sure an important part of my childhood was influenced by this film, not to forget because of Philip Glass' music. No, I'm not frustrated, dejected or something else. I only wanted to make a sequence of pictures of the *ironically* "perfect world" we get presented all day. Expect more destructive picture in this sequence. For this first image: Look at it and ask yourself the question: All is done for people. But where are they gone? *** KOYAANISQATSI I - a state of life that calls for another way of living *** ko.yaa.nis.katsi (from the Hopi language) Fujifilm FinePix S7000. F 8.0, 1/320s, ISO 200, FL 210mm.

Tracks of people, hiding somewhere out there! Great B&W shot!

hmm... this is kind of creepy to me. It sort of reminds me of Metropolis. All the people are inside the buildings until the whistle blows and sends them to the next building. Well done!

I love this movie and its music, too.
Your point of showing this dramatic feeling really catches me.
